Some of the most well-established and effective forms of permanent makeup are fillers and cosmetic wrinkle treatment.
But due to some very unfortunate cases by unqualified technicians being widely publicised in the press, these treatments have got a (highly undeserved) bad name.
I want to debunk the myths and break down the stigma that has built up around this type of therapy, so that clients can come to me confident about investing their time and money in these highly effective treatments.
Breaking Down The Myths Around Cosmetic Wrinkle Treatments And Fillers
Let me start by telling you some of the most common questions that potential customers might ask
They may worry “Am I going to look surprised?” “Will my eyebrows droop or raise too high?” “Does it hurt?”
Other common concerns include whether any unhappiness with the results can be rectified. Clients also wonder how it might affect them long term if they stop having treatments and, perhaps the most common cry, “I don’t want a trout pout!”
You’ll be happy to know that I can reassure you on every one of these (entirely natural) concerns.
I’m a highly qualified aesthetic practitioner
I have 12 years’ experience, VTCT level 2, 3 in Beauty and Level 4 in Micropigmentation as well as Anaphylaxis training, Advanced Botulinum Toxin & Advanced Dermal Fillers, Paramedical tattooing, Mesotherapy, Laser Tattoo Removal, Scar work and Scalp Pigmentation.
And I never stop training!
I will also soon be fully qualified to offer Mole & Wart removal, PRP Facials (commonly known as Vampire Facials) and Tear Trough fillers (under eye hollows).
My experience and knowledge takes me beyond that of the average aesthetic practitioner, where I can address each client to the real root of their issue and recommend customised treatments in an organic style.
Reading between the (wrinkle) lines
Unlike some less experienced technicians, I will not just look at the lines that my client is concerned about. Instead, I will examine the situation from all angles and look at their overall features to discuss all options available.
I always aim for natural results where my clients will leave looking younger, more relaxed and rejuvenated.
Using BoCoture – the best product on the cosmetic market today – my treatments work to soften and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles using natural protein to relax the facial muscles. It can also be injected around the chin and mouth areas, and the side of the eyes to improve the appearance of crow’s feet. BoCoture can also combat underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis). If you’re prone to this let’s have a chat about how well it can help you.
Dermal Fillers and BoCoture treatments greatly complement one another, and I have all the skills to slowly and precisely use these treatments to restore a youthful, natural appearance.
Treatments will volumise the cheeks, reduce nose to mouth lines, turn marionette lines up and remove smoker lines around the top lip. These treatments can also be used to restore the vermillion border around the lips and volumise the lip itself, as well as restore the philtrim (the vertical groove above the upper lip).
Filler treatments works by lifting and smoothing skin to add volume and restore the fresh appearance created by the natural collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid in our skin. A filler treatment takes under an hour and offers immediate results. It’s entirely reversible and I will use different products within the range I have available to appropriately treat skin on different parts of the face.
The effects of BoCoture typically last from three to six months, while fillers last up to 18 months. I would usually recommend clients to have a top-up BoCoture treatment every 3-4 months, while fillers should normally be topped up every 6-12 months. Sometimes it’s down to individual preference, but I’ll advise my clients when it’s best for them to return.
I also only work using products that have been extensively tested and researched.
Worrying about the side-affects of cosmetics wrinkly treatments and fillers? Stop
I will always advise against treatment for anyone whom may be deemed unsuitable; such as those with damaged nerves or those who have previously suffered allergic reactions. The treatment is generally not suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Finally, if you’re worried about side effects – don’t be! Some people experience mild bruising, pain, redness or swelling near the injection site after treatment. This is a totally natural reaction to any treatment involving a needle! The effects will not last long and any bruising can be easily covered with makeup.
If you would like to find out more about possible side effects please just get in touch.
My consultations are designed to give all patients a comfortable environment in which to discuss any worries and concerns, ask questions and disclose any medical conditions or adverse circumstances that may affect treatment.
There are no long-term side effects of either treatment and I also offer dedicated after care and a checkup appointment 14 days after treatment.
